We are pleased to introduce our new colleague to you. Meet Nick. Nick started as a Junior Sales at vPlan from January 2, 2020. After six months in Barcelona, he is back on Twente soil.
Here's a brief introduction to get to know Nick better:
What does your typical morning routine look like?
I love to sleep in, so my alarm doesn't go off until half past eight. When I wake up, there's a cup of tea with honey and a slice of breakfast cake waiting for me, courtesy of my mother. Then I hop on my scooter and I'm at vPlan within three minutes.
And what will you do tonight after your first day of work?
Once I'm home, I'll just plop down on the couch and watch a Netflix series. Around seven o'clock, the thought of exercising comes up, but after fifteen minutes, that thought disappears.
Why did you choose vPlan?
Before this, I did a six-month internship in Barcelona at a SaaS company, where I got involved in Sales. During this half year, I fell in love with Sales and wanted to pursue it further. Back in the Netherlands, I was looking for a (side) job in Sales. The open vacancy at vPlan on LinkedIn was exactly what I was looking for, so I applied quickly. This turned out well, as I now have a super fun (side) job in Sales. I am very grateful that vPlan has given me this opportunity, despite my young age.
Are you excited about this new challenge?
I'm very excited about this new challenge at vPlan. vPlan is a rapidly growing company, and I'm thrilled to be able to contribute to it. The vPlan team is really amazing, which strengthens my determination to make this a success.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I'm a big fan of gaming, my favorite game is Rocket League, and I'm really good at it (even my colleagues can't beat me three against one). I also enjoy kicking a ball around from time to time. And occasionally, I go to the gym.
Any other quirky hobbies or characteristics?
Well, the most unusual thing is that I like to perform card magic tricks. I also like to show these to my colleagues.
