Outdated planning system
We speak to Felix Fonkert, Business Controller at Hedin Automotive: "Before we worked with vPlan, we were using an outdated version of PME. From our old ERP system, the planning in PME was fed automatically. It was time for renewal and so we looked at a new ERP system. Our planning was also due for renewal and so we started looking for a ."
"Not only do we do mechanic planning with vPlan, but now also quality control and our procurement planning."
Value-added planning
"Through it we ended up with vPlan. After a demonstration, we had a good idea of what the software could do for us. We soon saw the added value of vPlan compared to other modules so our choice was quickly made. With every contact we had with vPlan, it became clear to us that they continue to develop," Felix indicates.
Everything online with vPlan
When we ask Felix about the results Hedin Automotive has achieved with vPlan, he is clear: "A year on, productivity has increased by no less than 19%. Also, vPlan has evolved an awful lot, so we now have many more functionalities than we started with. The functionalities have ensured that we no longer just do mechanic planning in vPlan, but much more, such as performing quality checks and timekeeping for mechanics."
He continues, "Because work orders now reach mechanics digitally, we can make last-minute changes without any problems. This is useful in case a customer has any last-minute additional requirements. This has also significantly reduced the error rate. We plan to use vPlan for many more activities. We will also house our procurement planning in vPlan, which will enable tighter handling of our JustInTime process. With a seamless integration with Exact Online, the possibilities are endless."
Easy to use
"Our experience with vPlan is always good. We have occasionally had a little problem and it was solved right away. We have also had some questions about the functionalities from time to time, but actually everything works so intuitively that it is self-explanatory!", Felix concludes."
