Export your timeline to a PDF file to share your planning, enhance your security with two-factor authentication (2FA), and gain more control with status categories. Discover how these updates make your work easier and more secure!
Exporting the Timeline 📈
You can now export your timeline planning to a PDF file. This is ideal when you want to share your planning with clients or subcontractors. It’s a frequently requested feature, especially from companies in the construction industry, who like to post the planning in the site office.
Simply press the export button, choose the document name, format, and orientation for the export, and the PDF will be downloaded immediately.

Security: Configurable 2FA 🔐
We’ve enhanced vPlan's security by adding two-factor authentication (2FA). Using 2FA strengthens your vPlan account security and protects your data from unauthorised access.
2FA is a security process where you verify your identity during login via SMS or an authenticator app. This makes it harder for unauthorised individuals to access your account, even if they know the password. In vPlan, you can easily set up 2FA within our new security menu. These security options are crucial at a time when cybersecurity is a top priority for every business.
Automatic Logout Due to Inactivity 🤖
With our new inactivity settings, you can easily configure how long a user can be inactive before vPlan automatically ends the session.
This means that when no mouse movements or keyboard activity are detected within the vPlan tab for a specified time, vPlan will automatically log out the session. This increases the security of your data, prevents unauthorised access, and ensures that system resources are used efficiently.
Note: This functionality is only available within the Professional package.
Status Categories 🚦
You can now add multiple start and end statuses to a card. This is useful, for instance, when a task has been completed but still needs to be invoiced. You can then add an additional status "Invoicing" to the completed statuses.
Are you working with collections or dependencies? This new feature is ideal. As you’re used to, only cards with an open status will be moved. But now, with the ability to set multiple open statuses, you can also have multiple cards with an open status.
For example, if you work in a manufacturing company where, in addition to production and assembly, preparatory tasks such as drafting and purchasing are also carried out. You don’t want to schedule these, but you do want to record them via a status. With this development, you can place all these preparatory statuses under "open", so that vPlan doesn’t consider the task as "in progress."
Reusing Existing Formulas in New Columns 👩🏼🏫
You can now easily reuse existing formulas from the list view when creating new formula fields.
For instance, if you’ve created a formula field for the total price with the formula quantity * unit price, you can then reuse this total price formula within another formula.
Simply add the name of the existing formula to your new formula, and you can easily build on previously created formulas.
New Automation 👥
You can now automatically link resources. When resource “X” is added, vPlan automatically assigns resource “X” to the card.
This is handy if, for example, you always want to add the work crew as soon as the foreman is assigned to a task. This reduces even more manual work!
