Define the performance of your resources per activity
With our latest feature: 'Performance,' you'll work even more efficiently. Determine the effectiveness of the resource assigned to each activity.
For instance, if you're working with different machines on a single operation (CNC turning), it's possible that one machine (resource) produces more than another in the same time frame. This could be due to one machine being much newer than the other.
How do you set up this resource performance?
Go to activities within the vPlan configuration. Determine the efficiency per machine in percentages for the preferred resource. For the CNC turning operation, for example, set the efficiency to 50% for machine 1 and 100% for the newer machine 2. Now, when you schedule an order with a 4-hour CNC turning operation, machine 1 will take 8 hours, and machine 2 will take 4 hours.
3 new automations
As you've come to expect from us, we regularly add new automation rules, partly based on your feedback. From now on, the following automations are available:
-
When the status changes to 'something' in phase 'something,' assign related resources of the current user. In the example below, 'Robin' is added as a resource to the card as soon as he sets the card to 'in progress' within the engineering phase.
2. Increase/decrease value in extra field upon status change.
For example, when you set the status of a card to 'completed,' the value of your numerical extra field 'number produced' is increased by 10 units. We've added two variations of this automation to vPlan: one that applies within a specific phase and one that applies across all phases.
3. Receive a notification when a date is approaching or has passed
For example, if you have an extra date field: 'purchase order delivery date,' you'll receive a notification when the date has passed, so you can check if the purchase order has been delivered.
