Approval process for time tracking
It has been possible for a while now to register your hours within vPlan. We have now significantly expanded this functionality. We now also provide better insight into the recorded time. Additionally, you can view, approve, or reject the hours. How? We'll explain it below.
Analyze the worked hours
You can find the time tracking dashboard in the left menu under "boards" and "cards". Here, you can find all planned and recorded hours for yourself and your team. Choose the period for which you want to see the planned and recorded hours and visualize it immediately in our line diagram. With the introduction of this cool display, we have replaced the time tracking display within the list.
Get insight into all recorded time registration lines for yourself or your team. Choose a specific grouping, for example, per board or per collection of cards, and analyze or evaluate the time registrations.
We'll show you with an example. Suppose you work at a marketing agency and you work with your team on project 10333. Everyone records hours on the project, on their tasks (activities). Go to our new dashboard and search for project 10333 in the search function. Now you immediately get insight into all recorded hours and know exactly how many hours everyone has put in.
Approve or reject recorded time
Each time registration line has a status: draft, in progress, approved, or rejected. In our new dashboard, you can see at a glance which hours you, as a manager, still need to review. By filtering, for example, on the 'in progress' status, you can see all registrations to be reviewed. This way, no registration will ever be overlooked, and the review can be submitted.
Note: Only users with the roles "administrator" or "planner" can review recorded hours in vPlan.
Reviewing recorded times is temporarily available to everyone and will later be a standard part of the 'professional package'.
Select and move multiple cards in the timeline
Have you been informed that your project is running behind schedule and you need to change the plan? From now on, you can quickly and easily move all cards of the project in the timeline. Hold down the Alt (Windows) or Command (Mac) key, select the correct cards, and then move the cards to the desired date.
Multiple projects or many cards to move? We also have a smart solution for this! Press Shift and select only the top and bottom cards. Then, all cards between the two selected cards will be selected, and you can move the cards within the timeline.
Sort columns within the timeline
Previously, cards were sorted based on the planned date in the timeline. From now on, you can sort on a column of your choice. Click on the column name to sort the cards based on it. You can choose to sort ascending or descending. When you sort on card name, labels, or resources, the cards are then grouped in alphabetical order. You can activate sorting on one column.
Address from integration also in Maps
Have you linked vPlan to your accounting or ERP system? It is now possible to show address details from orders and projects in our Google Maps in list view. This includes delivery addresses in the sales order or the installation address on a work order. Add the address (integration) column to your list and see immediately where you need to go!
Duplicate planned collections
Previously, you could only duplicate cards from the backlog. From now on, it is also possible to duplicate planned collections. This allows you to create new projects or tasks even faster. Instead of creating a new card in the backlog and entering which tasks need to be performed, this is already done for you. Ideal when you perform exactly the same projects or tasks for different clients. You only need to change the client name and you can schedule the task right away. Reduce manual work and save time!
