1. Day (part) without appointments
Block out a whole day or a part of a day every week to not schedule any appointments. To make optimal use of this tip, get your colleagues on board as well. During your planned day (part) without appointments, your colleagues won't be able to disturb you.
Why does it work?
It's quite simple. When you have a day (part) planned without appointments, you can work with focus. While you're working, you won't be interrupted, preventing you from getting out of your "workflow." Additionally, you'll notice that once you've worked a day without appointments, your stress levels for the rest of the week will decrease.
2. Time blocks for major tasks
Divide your day into time blocks based on when you have the most energy and when you're least productive. Then, schedule major tasks during time blocks when you have the most energy, and schedule smaller, less important tasks when you're less productive.
Why does it work?
Let's be honest, you can't always be productive. By acknowledging and being aware of this, your day can become more productive. Avoid procrastination by tackling energy-consuming tasks when you need a break. Schedule these tasks when you're full of energy; it can make a big difference.
3. Utilise the Pomodoro Technique
With the Pomodoro Technique, you break down major tasks into smaller tasks lasting a maximum of 25 minutes. After 25 minutes of work, take a 5-minute break. Repeat this four times and then take a longer break.
Why does it work?
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management philosophy that allows you to creatively recharge during the workday. This way, you're less likely to become mentally fatigued and you'll have more energy left for your tasks.

4. Block time to plan your day
Schedule 15 minutes at the beginning or end of each day in your calendar to plan your to-do list.
Why does it work?
To implement the above tip, you need to make time for it in your schedule. So don't forget to set aside this important quarter-hour at the beginning or end of your workday in your schedule.
