If someone has started the new year well, it's our new colleagues Sophie and Kevin! 😃 They thought: new year, new opportunities, and stepped into our office on 2nd January full of fresh energy. Get to know them a little in this blog!
Welcome Sophie and Kevin! Tell us a bit about yourselves.
Sophie: I'm Sophie Bode. I was born in Enter, but after living in Utrecht for 11 years, I decided to return to my roots.
Kevin: And I'm Kevin, proud father of a son and living in Rijssen.
What were you doing before joining vPlan?
Sophie: After my move, I continued working in the Randstad. I worked in the media industry for a long time there. I wanted a challenge closer to home, where I could go to the office four days a week and have less travel time. And I found that at vPlan, it took me 8 minutes this morning. ⚡️
Kevin: I previously worked at RVC Industrial Packaging as a commercial employee.
What do you find challenging about your new job?
Sophie: Firstly, getting to know the industry. I come from a completely different field, and the software and IT world is new to me, but it seems very exciting!
Kevin: To work with my colleagues to take the company to a higher level.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Sophie: I love good food and being around people, so I enjoy going out for dinner, cooking, or having drinks at the pub.
Kevin: In my free time, I prefer spending time with my family, playing football, hanging out with friends, and doing some DIY.
What did you want to be when you were little?
Sophie: Like many girls my age, I wanted to be a dolphin trainer. 🐬
Kevin: A professional footballer! ⚽️
What is your biggest dream?
Sophie: Not a huge dream, but I would love to visit New York again someday.
Kevin: To go on a world trip with my family one day.
And of course... What are your resolutions for this year?
Sophie: Spend less on clothes and shoes. This month is No Buy January for me. So besides essentials, I can't spend anything this month. Curious to see how it goes.
Kevin: Drink less coffee and exercise more.
